Board of Trustees

Cullman Electric is no ordinary corporation…it’s a cooperative. That means the people who buy their power from us are more than our customers…they are members-owners in the cooperative and each has a vote and a voice.

Our members have the power to influence the direction of our utility by electing members to a board of trustees. Nine board members represent the different districts served by Cullman Electric. Elections are held annually during the fall. Ballots are mailed to each cooperative member and final voting is held at our Annual Meeting.

Being a cooperative board member is by no means a full-time job, but it does require a commitment to serve our communities. A board member's term is for three years. Those elected spend their time learning as much as they can about the complicated electricity industry and then applying that knowledge toward improving the cooperative service area. The board meets monthly, working together to set policy and to make the financial decisions that will strengthen the cooperative for the greatest good of our members.

The next meeting of the Cullman EC Board of Trustees is scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 2021

Any individual or group that would like to speak at a Board of Trustees meeting should fill out a Listening Session Sign Up Form.  Forms can be mailed or dropped off at our office or sent by email. The completed form must be received at least seven days before the next board meeting to be included on the agenda.
